A cinematic spy adventure
Your invitation to the Aurelia Invitational carries the name Alex Mercer, art dealer. Your handler knows why you are really there: Severin Vey can introduce you to people inside the Syndicate.
Take your seat, play a real game of chess, and earn the connection that moves the mission forward. The adventure is organized into four chapters and twelve encounters, beginning in Montenegro. Part One is free to play with no limit, and you can begin as a guest.
Choose this story when you want undercover intrigue, distinctive locations, and a cast whose relationships give each meeting a purpose.

A medieval Arthurian adventure
A seat at the Round Table has to be earned. Six opponents stand in your way across two chapters: Sir Gawain, Sir Percival, the innkeeper, Lady Elinor, Sir Lancelot, and King Arthur.
Play a real game of chess against each of them. Winning moves the story on through cinematic scenes, narration, music, and character boards, and the adventure ends with your knighthood at the Round Table.

If you want a narrative to follow, start with an available adventure's premise and opening scene. If you are mainly looking for a human opponent, a puzzle exercise, or a lesson, those are different ways to spend time with chess.
A story campaign connects the games through fiction. You can enjoy it alongside multiplayer chess without changing where you usually compete.

Before you begin
You play against the computer. Choose a starting level when beginning the story; you can change the setting later for a subsequent game. You can begin The Glass Syndicate as a guest and subscribe to Premium without an account; a free account keeps a purchase on every device. Without Premium, story boards beyond Part One of The Glass Syndicate are one per 24 hours.
