Chapter One: your way inside
The Glass Syndicate begins with an invitation to the Aurelia Invitational in Montenegro. You are attending as Alex Mercer, an art dealer. Your real task is to enter the Syndicate's network.

The opening chapter follows the first connections that make your cover useful.
This preview includes the opening setup and early introductions, without revealing later mission twists.
The first table: Severin Vey
Vey takes chess seriously. Your handler, Mara, wants you to make an impression because his recommendation can bring you closer to the organization.
The tournament gives your first meeting a setting and a reason. You are expected at table nine. Play the encounter and earn the introduction that takes the mission beyond the event.
The private invitation: Adrian Sorel
Vey's connection leads to Adrian Sorel's villa on the Bay of Kotor. The setting changes from a public occasion to a more private meeting.
Sorel has his own place in the network. You are there because someone has vouched for Alex Mercer, and your next encounter can turn that introduction into another recommendation.
The next contact: Victor Sorel
The opening sequence leads toward Victor Sorel at Undertow in Istanbul. Your cover identity as an art dealer becomes relevant to the business he wants handled.
The chapter connects these meetings into a route inside the organization. You are progressing through relationships as well as chess games.
What you play
This chapter contains three encounters. You play real chess against the computer, with cinematic scenes supplying the setup and consequence.
A chapter is a group of encounters, not a guaranteed session length. You can return to an unfinished game using the product's save and resume controls.
